I have to say I do absolutely love more luxury makeup brands, but that doesn’t mean I don’t also use and love drugstore products too. I haven’t told you in one go what my favourite drugstore products are and it’s about time! Particularly at this time when most of us are watching the pennies more.
Maybelline - Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation & Foundation Powder
I love both the liquid and powder form of this foundation, has medium/buildable coverage, it’s matte but not drying and it’s super long lasting
L’Oreal - True Match Foundation
This is a lovely natural/satin finish foundation, again it lasts really well on me as long as I set it with powder. It’s an oldie but a goodie.
Flower Beauty – Light Illusion Concealer
Can’t say enough good things about this concealer, it’s full coverage but lightweight and again lasts really well on me as long as I set it with translucent powder.
Makeup Revolution – Conceal and Define Concealer
This is so cheap and unreal! Super full coverage and has a gorgeous finish, only thing I would say is you run out of it pretty quick – then again it is only £4!
Nyx – Contour Stick
I don’t use the highlight side of this stick but the contour side is the perfect contour & bronze shade – not too warm not too cool. It warms up the contour areas without looking orange. It’s buildable and super easy to blend.
Maybelline – Colossal Mascara
This is one of my favourite drugstore mascaras, but I also love the L’Oreal Telescopic and I’ve heard great things about the Maybelline Lash Sensational – can't go wrong with any of these!
Nyx – Eyeliner Pencils
They have a great colour range and they’re creamy and easy to apply. They also dry down and last really well – a great simple product that you shouldn’t need to spend too much on.
Makeup Revolution – Velvet Reloaded Eyeshadow Palette
One of my favourite palettes of all time... Not just because it’s affordable but the colours are gorgeous, if you love neutrals this will be a dream for you. The eyeshadow formula is easy to blend and nicely pigmented.
Flower Beauty – Blush
The colours are so beautiful, “Peach Primrose” is my favourite! It’s pigmented enough that you can build your blush colour quickly, but not so pigmented that you have to be cautious.
Ardell – Wispie Lashes
Again an oldie but a goodie. You cannot go wrong with Ardell Wispies, these were the first lashes I tried when I first started wearing makeup and I still love them. The band is thin and makes them easy to apply, the lashes are obviously lovely and wispy which makes them look more natural – you can even pop two on together for added drama.
Maybelline – Super Stay Matte Ink Lipsticks
Love love love these liquid lipsticks, they dry down matte but aren’t super drying and last all day. The only thing I would say is that by the end of the day they do start to ball up/break down a little but by then I’m always ready to take off my makeup anyway! For the price it’s a no brainer.
Morphe – Lip Liner
THE BEST LIP LINERS EVER! These are also ridiculously affordable, though I’m not sure you can get them in drugstores you may need to order online. I want these liners in every colour, “Sweet Tea” is my favourite of all time. Although these are lip liners, I’ve also used them as eyeliners and they worked perfectly.
These are just a few of my favourites, I would love to hear your drugstore favourites in the comments below!
Love Char xx
